Young Leaders are aged 14–18 and help run Beavers, Cubs, and Scout sections. They develop leadership skills and gain experience while supporting younger members.
We treat our young leaders as part of our leadership team, and expect them to work towards their Explorer Scout Young Leader Scheme
We do not currently accept volunteers working towards their DofE without also doing their Explorer Scout Young Leader Scheme
We have limits on the number of young leaders we can support in each section at once, and young leaders in Scouts must be 16+ to be suitably older than the children in the section
